Putting the screws on crime, Bribie Island Police

Bribie Island Police and local Neighbhourhood Watch Groups will help combat crimes involving stolen vehicles and number plates on Saturday 6 August 2016 from 8.30am to 11am.

The event is being hosted by the Bongaree NHW group, and will include volunteers from other Bribie Island NHW groups, together with officers and volunters in policing from Bribie Island Police Station.

Free installation of tamper proof number plate screws, crime prevention information and a BBQ will be available at the Information Centre located in Benabrow Avenue on Bribie Island (between Eucalypt and Verdoni Streets).

Recently there has been a number of offences reported involving the theft of number plates from vehicles in the Bribie Island area, and I would encourage residents to come along and have these one way screws installed on their vehicles.
