Bribie Police Wrap – Tuesday, December 1

Bribie Island Police attended 19 domestic violence incidents last week, of which eight related to contraventions of domestic violence protection orders.  Five applications for protection orders were made by police, and counselling support services were provided for the other incidents.

Bribie Island Police Division has been involved with the Stop DV initiative for many years, which is a collaborative effort with the Bribie Island Neighbourhood Centre and Caboolture Womens Domestic Violence Service.  The initiative aims to provide support to people early, and potentially prior to an escalation involving violence.  Police call the police station for more information.

If you or anyone you know is in need of assistance due to domestic violence, please contact the station immediately.  Always ring 000 in an emergency.
