Bribie Island Ekka holiday

Monday, August 8 will be the Moreton Bay Region’s public holiday for the Royal Queensland Show, Ekka.

During the public holiday, kerbside waste collections will continue as normal, however council’s customer service centres and libraries will be closed.

To coincide with the holiday, Moreton Bay Region Industry & Tourism together with council will host the annual Caboolture Family Fun Day with free rides, activities and stage show by Spongebob SquarePants at Centenary Lakes from 10.00am to 4.00pm. The Ekka People’s Day public holiday on Wednesday, August 10 is for residents in the Brisbane City Council local government area only and will be a normal business day in the Moreton Bay Region.
